We are currently looking for new undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in computational research.
Undergraduate students at Western
Undergraduate students at Western who are interested in doing research may enroll for research credit during the academic year. Please see the Undergraduate Research Requirements. You do not have to be a Chemistry major to join the group! For more information, please contact Dr. McCarty via email: jay.mccarty@wwu.edu.
Masters students
Prospective graduate students interested in our research are encouraged to apply to the M.S. graduate program at Western. If you are interested in joining the group as a M.S. student, please send your CV to Dr. McCarty via email with a cover letter explaining your interests.
Students from elsewhere
Community college students and students from other institutions are encouraged to apply to Western’s Research Experience for Undergraduates Program. This program is funded by the National Science Foundation and provides support for summer research positions. For more information, contact the REU Program.

We may occasionally have summer research positions for exceptional high school students. A letter of recommendation is required in this case.
